Classification: Full Time

Shift: Varies - AM/PM (includes weekends and holidays)

Hourly Wage Range: $19.20 - $21.34

The ideal candidate will have:

• Ability to lift, bend, stoop, carry, push or pull heavy loads, and stand for long periods of time. May require lifting bundles (linen) weighing up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to push and/or pull wheeled carts weighing up to 1000 lbs.
• Basic ability to comprehend English language sufficient to understand information such as safety labels and instructions.

What will I be doing:

A Laundry Sorter is responsible for ensuring the proper sorting and distribution of laundry to meet Hilton's high standards of quality.Specifically, you would be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:

• Pre-sort and separate linen by classification and transfer by lifting, carrying or transporting to workstations.
• Empty the laundry chute. load off-site customer laundry onto belt and prepare loads for washer.
• Run folding equipment to fold mats, blankets, towels, bedspreads, etc.
• Separate out laundry requiring mending or special stain removal.
• Clean empty hampers.
