The Project Engineer is tasked with overseeing the planning, execution, and completion of projects within set deadlines and budget constraints. This role requires a professional with a solid understanding of project management's technical aspects, including human resources, scope, time, quality, cost, risk, procurement, and communication. The ideal candidate is committed to meticulous planning, continuous improvement, exceptional quality, and outstanding customer service, while also striving to enhance communication channels.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and manage project development from initiation to closure.
Define project scope, objectives, and deliverables in collaboration with senior management and stakeholders.
Develop comprehensive project plans and related communication documents.
Effectively communicate project expectations to team members and stakeholders in a timely manner.
Estimate the resources and personnel required to achieve project goals.
Prepare and submit budget proposals, and recommend budget adjustments as needed.
Negotiate with department managers for the necessary personnel within the company.
Assess the need for additional staff or consultants and recruit as necessary during the project lifecycle.
Set and manage project expectations with team members and stakeholders.
Identify and resolve project team issues and conflicts.
Manage project dependencies and critical paths.
Delegate tasks and responsibilities to appropriate personnel.
Plan and track project milestones and deliverables.
Develop and deliver progress reports, proposals, requirements documentation, and presentations.
Determine the frequency and content of status reports from the project team, analyze results, and troubleshoot problem areas.
Proactively manage changes in project scope, identify potential crises, and devise contingency plans.
Define project success criteria and disseminate them to involved parties throughout the project lifecycle.
Coach, mentor, motivate, and supervise project team members and contractors, encouraging them to take positive action and accountability for their assigned work.
Build, develop, and grow business relationships vital to the success of the project.
Conduct project post-mortems and create a recommendations report to identify successful and unsuccessful project elements.
Develop best practices and tools for project execution and management.
Adhere to, report, and enforce safety, food safety, quality, and Good Manufacturing Practices regulations.
Qualifications:
Education and Experience: Bachelor's degree in Engineering and five years of related experience.
Reasoning Ability: Demonstrates logical and analytical skills to identify strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, apply general rules to specific problems, interpret various instructions, and combine information to form general conclusions.
Computer Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint), CAD software, and project management software.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: Valid passport or the ability to obtain one within three months of hire.
