Location: Hybrid schedule in Indianapolis, with up to 25% travel



Position Overview:



The IT Security Analyst is responsible for monitoring, assessing, and maintaining the integrity of infrastructure, systems, and data. This role involves daily collaboration with all HES IT departments and business units, assisting the Heritage Security group and Managed Service Providers with technical and security-related activities and projects. The Analyst will utilize a wide range of security technologies designed to protect the company's sensitive data, assets, and infrastructure.



Key Responsibilities:

• Ensure Health & Safety as the number one goal by following policies and processes, and acting safely at all times
  
  


• Perform log analysis, monitoring, remediation, and reporting
  
  


• Review and maintain systems configurations
  
  


• Conduct vulnerability assessment reviews and reporting
  
  


• Assist in the development, implementation, and management of the IT security awareness program
  
  


• Respond to alerts, remediate issues, and report from various security platforms
  
  


• Assist HES IT Service Desk with security-related incidents or tickets
  
  


• Monitor, triage, and remediate incidents
  
  


• Evaluate and respond to end user risky behavior alerts
  
  


• Monitor multifactor authentication requests and changes
  
  


• Conduct proactive threat hunting using existing systems
  
  


• Inform other HES IT departments of new or emerging threats
  
  


• Execute tasks or projects as outlined in the IT security strategic plan
  
  


• Regularly review performance and procedures with MSPs
  
  


• Travel up to 25%
  
  

Qualifications:

• 
  Education:
  
  
  
  
  
  • Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity required (in lieu of degree, 8 years equivalent experience)
    
    
  
  
  • CISSP preferred, CompTIA Sec+ as a minimum
    
    
  
  
  • CISA, CRISC, and/or Cloud Security knowledge is a plus
    
    
  
  
  
  


• 
  Experience:
  
  
  
  
  
  • Minimum 4 years of proven work experience as an IT Security Analyst or similar role (6 years if no degree)
    
    
  
  
  • Experience with
  
  
  
  
  • SIEM or Log analysis
  
  
  • Email security platforms (Proofpoint, Abnormal Security)
  
  
  • IT Security Awareness training (Proofpoint),
  
  
  • Endpoint Detection and Response (SentinelOne)
  
  
  • Data protection tools (Varonis)
  
  
  • Vulnerability analysis, End user protection, and Cloud services security
  
  
  
  
  • Thorough understanding of the latest security principles, techniques, and protocols
    
    
  
  
  • Experience with NIST 800-53, 800-171, and/or CMMC is a plus
