Job Description:

The salary range for this position is at $58,892 - $78,523. We take into consideration an individuals background and experience in determining salary; therefore, base pay offered may vary considerably depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The compensation package includes a wide range of benefits (medical, dental, life, disability, and more) as well as generous paid time off.
1. Job Summary:
The People and Culture Business Partner is responsible to provide human resource expertise, coaching and guidance to leadership and team members in the area of employee relations, training and development, organizational development, and policy development and implementation with a keen focus on and commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion. The incumbent plays a role in fostering a positive and engaging work environment and ensuring alignment between our people strategies and business objectives.

2. Essential Functions:
Partner with branch, camp and program leadership in the implementation of all HR strategies, programs, and projects including compensation and performance reviews, interpretation of HR policies and operating procedures, organizational development and restructuring, and other organizational design changes through the lens of equity and compliance.Maintain current knowledge of Minnesota and Wisconsins employment laws, HR practices and trending issues. Understand the nuances of operations and programs and apply knowledge to effectively resolve employment relations issues, improve processes, and solve for opportunities.Apply Federal, State, Local laws and YMCA of the North policy by providing coaching and consultation in employee relations and compliance matters throughout the employment cycle including team member onboarding, training, performance management, corrective actions, and termination.Conduct diligent investigations on key compliance and employee relations concerns including workplace harassment, discrimination, safety violations, and wage/hour claims and consults in decision-making of other HR investigations when necessary.Partner with the compensation team when advising leadership on compensation matters including hiring salaries, equity review, job analysis and creating job descriptions, participating in analysis and market pricing, data and reporting and the administration of various compensation practices as needed. Partner with the Organizational Leadership Development department, develop HR training and provide them to assigned branches, camps and programs regarding HR policies and procedures. Assist in the maintenance of team member handbook by developing and revising new policies as needed. Lead HR projects with the focus on equity, diversity and inclusion, process improvement, and employee engagement. Ensure end-to-end service delivery by maintaining partnerships with People and Culture and relevant stakeholders.Assist and support in HR cross-functional projects and initiatives.

3. Relationships:
This position reports to the Director of Employee Relations who reports to the Executive Vice President of People and Culture. The incumbent interacts regularly with department, branch and camp leaders and team members.

4. Qualifications:
Required:
Bachelors Degree in Human Resources, Business, Industrial Relations or related field, or equivalent experience.Minimum of two (2) years of Human Resources experience including employee relations, employment law, policies and procedures, training, performance management, and project management.Demonstrated ability to conduct investigations, deliver difficult messages, and provide objective feedback to leaders and team members.Proven track record in using coaching to develop supervisors, mitigate risks and decrease serious employee relations issues Demonstrated ability to build and sustain positive working relationships at all levels.Demonstrated ability to build and sustain positive working relationships and advisory experience at all levels. Proven reasoning, analytical, problem-solving conflict resolution and consultative skills.Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.Strong interpersonal communication skills, relatability and approachability to all team members, with a keen focus on and commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion. Strong computer skills including Microsoft office suite, HR systems and reporting.Ability to work independently and be a strong team player.
Preferred:
Experience conducting investigations.Bi/multilingual.Nonprofit experience.Experience conducting training facilitation.PHR Certification.Experience with HRIS systems.Experience with HR metrics.

5. Work Conditions:
Ability to travel locally to branches and camps on a regular basis.Ability y to operate computer keyboard and communicate via electronic messaging and telephone. Ability to work on a computer for an extended period of time.
