Your Next Career Opportunity – Senior Analyst, Planning & Analysis - International
Senior Analyst to support the Director in creating and maintaining various models, analyses, and studies which ultimately drive critical business decisions. This person will be required to liaison between strategy and business unit operations and create and own dashboards, reports, and graphs to assess performance.
What You Will Do – Primary Responsibilities
Develop a deep understanding of the business, clearly identifying the different impact configurations, scenarios, and deals have on the company's financial statements and overall strategy. Act as a liaison between business analysis and data.
Support strategic decisions by senior management with comprehensive analysis and presentations marrying big data science with financial shrewdness; recommend, develop and implement solutions to support strategic initiatives.
Create and maintain comprehensive and complex business and financial models. Prepare financial analysis and statistical studies utilizing well-established tools and frameworks, or creating new ones, to deliver insightful recommendations.
Actively participate in regular executive review and investment committee meetings, participating in discussions and presenting materials to the groups.
Assist mergers & acquisitions, valuations, and other activities requiring financial analysis.
Research internal and external environments to understand existing market forces and model future trends. Gather and format data from customers, competitors, industries, macroeconomics, and other relevant reports. Perform constant research and analysis of industry and local trends, practices, and the current plan to devise tecommendations for improvement and plan design.
Prepare weekly and monthly executive reports, including key performance metrics. Work with business unit personnel to analyze key performance indicators, compare them to benchmarks, and gather data to assess variances.
Research, create and maintain various financial/operational/strategic models to assist International Organization's executives in planning and executing growth initiatives, understanding international market forces, and providing data on international telecom markets. Conduct an in-depth review of competitors' financial statements, marketing/price positions, and key strategic trends.
Assist executives in devising strategic business planning. Assist in the planning and developing of the international organization's long-term financial objectives & strategic plans.
Supporting the team's leader, working closely with International operations and other departments as part of a multidisciplinary team to assess current and past trends in key performance indicators, highlighting trends, and analyzing causes of unexpected variances.
Evaluate large data sets, organizing, formatting, and cleaning up as required to provide material for analysis. Research internal and external data sources and prepare a recommendation for data extraction to prepare analytical studies.
Learn systems and data repository characteristics and requirements, and work with companies' branches to ensure data accuracy and consistency. Identifies causes and solutions for data quality issues.
Support developing business intelligence models by completing data mining analysis; evaluating data models; recommending new data gathering approaches and structures; proofing concepts.
Design, implement, and support data elements within SBA’s data repositories and related reporting systems using Microsoft SQL, Power BI, and Microsoft Azure data technologies. Extract, transform, and load data from various data sources using SQL and Azure big data technologies.
Assist in developing and implementing databases, data collection systems, data analytics, and other strategies that optimize statistical efficiency and quality.
Ad hoc problem-solving.
Collaborate with IT in identifying, building, and adapting the infrastructure for collecting, storing, managing, and processing data.
Assist other team members in collecting data from various sources and preparing data sets for analysis.
Develop and deliver concise and coherent presentations and reports of analytical findings and strategic recommendations.
Board package and Executive Meeting data preparation and support.
Other projects and duties as assigned.
What You’ll Need – Qualifications & Requirements
Bilingual in English/Spanish or English/Portuguese preferred
Bachelor's Degree Engineering, Business, or Finance degree preferred;
and 3-5 years of experience in Business Operations, Analysis, or Planning.
Demonstrated knowledge and advanced proficiency working with Microsoft Office Suite software including Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft PowerPoint and Microsoft Outlook.
