Performance engineering is crucial to push the limits of Arm designs and ensuring both hardware and software are well optimized, and with our team, you will have the opportunity to work directly with other hard-working performance engineers.
Responsibilities:
As an expert performance engineer, you will be responsible for:
Drive & investigate performance of real-world server use-cases and build workloads to model them
Develop and enhance innovative tools for architectural/microarchitectural exploration and performance analysis
Identify bottlenecks across software, micro-architecture, and architecture through workload characterization
Investigate & resolve performance degradation incidents through root cause analysis
Create and maintain performance test plans, strategies, and reports to validate the system's ability to scale under expected user loads
Collaborate with multiple design teams developing Server IP across the organization
Required Skills and Experience :
5+ years of experience with SOC pre-silicon & post-silicon performance analysis
Deep understanding of general-purpose CPU microarchitecture, including processor pipelines, caches, memory hierarchy, & also system component interdependencies including memory and I/O systems
Experience understanding workload performance bottlenecks across HW and SW stack
Obtained a Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related technical field
Strong programming experience in C, C++ and scripting & comfortable with Linux and Linux tools
"Nice To Have" Skills and Experience :
Experience with SOC bringup
Background or experience in server applications and system and software debug
Knowledge of systems impacting uncore performance like Interconnect, PCIe & GPU
Experience in ML frameworks and optimizations
