We are seeking a highly motivated individual to join our dynamic team. The Senior Business Analyst will be responsible for the execution of key initiatives focused on enhancing Group Insurance service model and underlying administrative practice. The current employee work arrangement for this position is dependent on the business preferences and your location, potentially requiring your on-site presence on occasion at a Prudential office.

This individual will serve as liaison between Operations, Business and Systems to support the business needs through computer systems enhancements, policy administration rules, and or production support issues. Represents the business with systems enhancements and design activities. Gathers requirements and communicates to systems personnel and/or Operations. Identifies and partners with the business on resource support needs. This position stresses knowledge of the business and aptitude for computer science.

The current employee work arrangement for this position is fully virtual. While this position does not require your on-site presence on a regular basis, depending on business preferences, there may be occasions where you are required to be on-site at a Prudential office.

What you can expect:

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:


  • Reviewing user and/or Operations requests conducting data gathering, documenting business specifications rules, preparing and organizing background data to support designing, and implementing test for systems changes, creating project specifications, user acceptance testing various information systems.


  • Identify business process improvements and submit business case to obtain approval and execute.


  • Incident reporting, tracking, and monitoring.


  • Evaluate system issues and provide alternatives to mitigate impacts to the business.


  • Provide production support for installations, problem solving, security access, and data integrity of the production databases.


  • Incumbents may review requirements, write test plans, create, and execute test cases, run the test applications, and verify and document results of the test.


  • Monitoring of various key business reports.

  • Knowledge of the systems supported including inputs, screens, processing logic, and output as well as interface with the other systems is required.


  • Leads with a process ownership mentality.


  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently.


  • Experience leveraging data to drive business decisions.


  • Demonstrated ability to implement process changes that span multiple functions.


  • Outstanding problem solving, analytical, decision making, and negotiation skills.

  • Excellent work ethic and self-motivated with the ability to prioritize and meet deadlines.


  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with team members, leadership, other departments, and vendors.

  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently.

What we offer you:

Prudential is required by state specific laws to include the salary range for this role when hiring a resident in applicable locations. The salary range for this role is from $92,400.00 to $137,400.00. Specific pricing for the role may vary within the above range based on many factors including geographic location, candidate experience, and skills.
