RESPONSIBILITIES:

One of Kforce's clients is looking for a BI Engineer in Oakland, CA. This could be a contract to hire role.

Summary:
The BI Engineer will design/develop/implement solutions to address complex business needs. This person will build dashboards/reports and create custom business applications (Power Apps) from source data - Salesforce and SQL being two of the many data sources. This role encapsulates all tasks needed to translate business requirements into a technical solution and build the architecture of the reporting environment.

REQUIREMENTS:

• 5+ years of experience in BI Engineering


• Expert knowledge of Microsoft Power BI development and building complex DAX Functions


• Expertise in building and integrating custom applications (Power Apps) with Power BI


• Working knowledge of Salesforce (one of many data sources)


• Experience in Microsoft SQL Server


• Expertise in SQL


• Experience in developing reports and dashboards


• Experience setting up reporting environment from the ground up


• Experience building visually appealing dashboards following the best coding practices; Able to solve user requirements on reporting


• Capable of visualizing information that's intuitive and enables insights


• Must have some work/product examples - expectation for some -show and tell- of reports and dashboards they've created before


• Ideal candidates would have worked for a utility company before

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
