Description: Tax Manager - Farming and Agriculture
Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Tax Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in preparing and reviewing tax returns, excellent client relations skills, and specialized tax experience in farming and agriculture.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare and review federal, state, and local tax returns for individuals, businesses, and other entities.
Manage and oversee the tax compliance process to ensure accurate and timely filings.
Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, providing exceptional service and addressing their tax-related needs.
Provide tax planning and advisory services to clients, with a focus on farming and agriculture sectors.
Stay current with tax laws and regulations, ensuring compliance and identifying opportunities for tax savings.
Supervise and mentor junior tax staff, providing guidance and support in their professional development.
Collaborate with other departments within the firm to deliver comprehensive financial solutions to clients.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. CPA certification required.
3+ years of experience in tax preparation and review.
Proven experience in client relations and managing client accounts.
Specialized knowledge and experience in tax issues related to farming and agriculture.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Proficiency in tax software and Microsoft Office Suite.
