The Manager, FP&A role is responsible for the management and execution of leading, scalable FP&A forecasts & analysis to deliver an integrated, full service performance cycle to public company standards. This role will be pivotal to the success of FP&A through its active partnership across the finance and actuarial departments.
Organization
This position reports to the Director, FP&A. This position will interact with multiple teams throughout the company, including but not limited to finance, actuarial, investments, reinsurance and capital.
Duties and Responsibilities
Responsible for leading a team who owns and executes leading, scalable financial forecasts & analysis.
Analyze financial performance, identifying trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement
Provide robust financial forecasting, financial analysis and ad hoc support; synthesize complex concepts to create analysis & explanations that are clear, concise and credible
Harness technology to drive automation and efficiencies
Lead the production and distribution of FP&A forecasts and analysis, considering material nonpublic information (MNPI) requirements
Train, coach, mentor and review staff work requiring the ability to effectively communicate and build strong working relationships
Collaborate with others to instill deeper understanding of FP&A team function and requirements across F&G
Provide continuity to actual and emerging financial results.
Provide insight to multiyear plans, such that they are achievable, meet expectations of the executive team and FNF Board of Directors and are considered credible to key external constituents. The plan must provide for adequate flexibility to ensure a high degree of confidence it will be achieve
Perform monthly and quarterly rolling forecasts and 'what if' scenarios
Develop robust analytical tools that help drive review and understanding of key results
Participate in strategic initiatives, as appropriate, to understand and forecast impacts
Lead other FP&A deliveries, serving as primary liaison between other Finance teams to ensure a holistic and consistent delivery model.
Financial Reporting to align reporting cycle schedules, deliverables and dependencies
Audit requests
Tax team deliverables for provisioning and projections
Capital & Ratings Management team deliverables for Capital Committee, capital models & rating agency
Regulatory forecasts and rating agency forecasts
Experience and Education Requirements.
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Actuarial or related field
7+ years related professional experience in financial reporting and/or financial planning & analysis required
2+ years of leadership experience
CPA or MBA preferred
Significant insurance experience highly desirable
Experience with projections, general ledgers, databases and report writing is desired
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Knowledge of annuity and life insurance products preferred
Knowledge of GAAP accounting practices and principles
Advanced knowledge of Excel and PowerPoint required
Strong written and verbal communication, organization and interpersonal skills necessary to establish and maintain effective working relationships with others
A passion for new challenges, leadership and delivering results
Strong critical thinker including analytical skills with the ability to analyze and interpret financial information and trends
Demonstrated leadership skills
Ability to handle multiple complex tasks, prioritize, and begin delegating in a fast-paced environment
Ability to identify and anticipate future issues using knowledge and experience to recommend solutions
Ability to brainstorm, research and provide possible solutions to ad hoc questions from the functional area's business partners
Experience of identifying and implementing process improvements, internal control enhancements, automation and efficiencies
Self-directed individual, with attention to detail, who works well with team
Robust expertise in financial systems for functional area
Support a culture of financial transparency and continuous improvement

Regular and punctual attendance
