Food Safety and Quality Assurance Analyst (REMOTE)
This is an excellent opportunity to showcase your passion for details and data analysis while working in partnership with various departments and cross functional partners in a fast-paced environment. The Analyst will be the key contact on all food safety analytics and data management. This role is perfect for someone who enjoys spending time keeping meticulous records and diving into the data. It is also a great opportunity for someone who enjoys building others food safety knowledge through analysis and reporting.

What You'll Do:
Collect and compile data from various sources
Analyze this data to identify trends, areas for improvement, and other relevant insights
Create and provide ad hoc and recurring reporting for the FSQA Team, cross-functional partners, and leadership
Maintain accurate records internally and within 3rd party software systems for restaurant and corporate users
Review and monitor a variety of incoming information (Examples: 3rd party audits, chemical provider reports, health department inspections) and conduct follow up when needed
Fulfill internal and external requests for regulatory information, New Restaurant permitting, permit renewals, and general regulatory compliance
Assist department with project management needs
Support department needs in creating a variety of presentations for various audiences
Provide support for other internal or regulatory projects when required
Strive for data integrity and perform data cleanup activities
Maintain departmental SharePoint
Abide by policies and procedures that support the service mindset
Manage timeline expectations within and across teams, deliver on our responsibilities accordingly
Earn the trust of Team Members and Managers by consistently embracing CAVA's values

The Qualifications:
Collaborative and able to work well in a team environment
Must have effective organizational, planning and prioritization skills
Degree in food science, food safety, food technology, statistics, business or related field preferred.
Certified Food Protection Manager & Allergen Awareness Training Certificate required within the first 30 days of employment
Able to communicate in a clear and concise manner
Proficient in MS Office programs, ZOOM, G Suite
Comfortable analyzing information and communicating findings and insights utilizing data analysis tools (i.e. Excel, Tableau)
Detail oriented, especially with maintaining data bases data sets
Able to manage projects and work independently
Background in food safety and quality preferred
Physical Requirements:
Ability to maintain stationary position to be able to operate a computer and other office equipment
Must be able to identify, analyze and assess details
For certain positions, must be able to occasionally move or transport items up to 50 pounds
Ability to communicate with others and exchange information accurately and effectively
Constantly positions self and move about to support ordinary restaurant or food production support or office operations, as applicable
Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner
