The Product Support and Logistics Division (PSLD) is one of the most innovative divisions within Caterpillar. In PSLD, as within all of Caterpillar, our priority is our customers and helping them build a better world. We touch nearly every element of the services value stream from procurement to design and manufacturing to distribution. PSLD is responsible for Aftermarket Parts DistributionofCat Parts, Integrated Logistics, segment Procurementand thedesign andmanufactureof Wear Components (Undercarriage and GET) and Maintenance Components (Seals, Tubes & Hardware, Hose & Couplings, Fluids and Filters).
As the Manager, Operations for the Morton Distribution Center you will provide guidance and supervision to ensure the accomplishment of distribution center goals, including those related to budget and cost structure. The role manages the day-to-day shipping operations across weekday and weekend shifts of a large facility. The Manager, Operations leads a high performing team of about three hundred and fifty (350) employees, including fourteen (14) operational leaders. The Morton Distribution Center plays a key role in support of Caterpillar customers worldwide as one of the largest Caterpillar Distribution Centers. The Morton DC support our dealers through the Parts Distribution network by getting parts to our customers as quickly, efficiently, and safely as possible. Our goal is to get the right part to the right place at the right time. The Morton DC covers a wide variety of areas from demand planning and inventory management to dealer order support and receiving, storage, and shipping operations.

What You Will Do:
Promotes workplace safety among supervisors and workers, building understanding of safety policies and effectively engaging team members to build a strong safety culture.

Performs safety inspections to assure compliance with OSHA requirements.
Promotes workplace safety among supervisors and workers; communicates safety rules and regulations.

Ensures that all employees and contractors comply with relevant safety policies and regulations.
Manufacturing Standards, Procedures and Policies: Knowledge of organizational standards, procedures, and policies in manufacturing activities; ability to plan, guide, and monitor manufacturing processes for compliance.
What Will Set You Apart (Preferred Qualifications):
Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing Operations, Supply, Logistics, or related field.
APICS Certified in Production and Inventory Management (CPIM).
Previous experience with EWM/SAP.
Previous Project Management experience.
Previous Lean Operations experience.

Summary Pay Range: $144,960.00 - $217,320.00 Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, job level, market location, job-related knowledge, skills, individual performance and experience.
