Job Duties:
Provide general office assistance and maintain office supplies.
Enter information from Medical and NFOCUS claim forms with 95% accuracy and 8000 keystrokes per hour.
Identify and correct any errors in the data.
Sort, file, and organize documents.
Open and process incoming mail.
Copy documents as needed and conduct research to verify information.
Review medical claim forms for missing or incomplete information and correct discrepancies.
Answer calls regarding claim status, client eligibility, and provider payments.
Use mainframe systems to verify and provide accurate information.
Maintain confidentiality of all billing and provider-related information.
Exhibit strong attention to detail and proofreading skills to ensure accuracy of documents and reports.
Maintain regular and predictable attendance.
Requirements/Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications: Coursework/training or experience in public contact, customer service, and/or performing and applying office/clerical support procedures, including the use of a personal computer, associated software, and office equipment.
Preferred Qualifications: At least one year of customer service experience, experience with Enterprise One, NFOCUS, MMIS, OnBase, and Microsoft Excel. Internal and external customer service experience.
Knowledge of: Data entry techniques and procedures.
Skills: Basic computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Word and Excel Proofreading skills Accurate data entry.
Abilities: Able to file and retrieve materials using alphabetical and numerical filing systems. Able to perform repetitive work in a high volume, fast paced work environment.
