The Clinical Education Course Coordinator will coordinate the Foundations of Clinical Practice 1 and 2 courses at the Evansville center, assisting the Course Directors when needed. This position will be student-focused, interacting primarily MS1 and MS2 students.
Department-Specific Responsibilities
Works directly with the Statewide Course Director(s) and course management teams and coordinating course activities.
Coordinates Foundations of Clinical Practice 1 and 2 course and POCUS, including scheduling of didactic and clinical experiences with volunteer faculty.
Coordinates IPE (Interprofessional Education) activities for FCP 1 and 2 students.
Assists with preparation and dissemination of course materials and facilitates access to technology resources for faculty participants.
Works with Course Director(s) and/or Center Director to resolve faculty concerns and promote effective utilization of faculty across the curriculum.
Works with the Simulation staff to participate in scheduled student/standardized patient sessions for FCP 1 and FCP 2.
Cross-trains and provides back-up support in Simulation and OSCE activities.
Performs other duties as assigned in support of department and center goals
Works with the Lead Academic Advisor/staff with coordination, organization, and planning of student orientation.
Assists and coordinates Intersessions.
Helps with Transition 1 and 2.
Assists in set-up and during Development/donor events.
General Responsibilities
Provides administrative support to the department, such as managing calendars, answering phone calls, creating routine and confidential correspondence, drafting reports and presentations, and arranging meetings and conferences.
Schedules rotations and clinic hours for members, and may arrange extracurricular activities.
Maintains ongoing documentation with respect to accuracy, confidentiality, and accessibility.
Implements program improvement projects from initiation to execution.
Offers recommendations to improve program administration and/or the overall quality of care.
Participates in the planning and development of academic and clinical requirements to ensure that all accreditation standards are maintained.

EDUCATION
Required
High school diploma or equivalent (such as HSED or GED)
WORK EXPERIENCE
Required
4 years of experience in administration, office management, or program coordination

This role requires the ability to effectively communicate and to operate a computer and other standard office productivity equipment. The position involves sedentary work as well as periods of time moving around an office environment and the campus.
