What You'll Do:


  • Develop and Execute Sales Strategies: Build and implement effective strategies to acquire and retain customer accounts, ensuring alignment with Supermicro's business objectives.
  • Target Key Industries: Focus on closing sales with government agencies, data centers/cloud providers, gaming, and HPC industries, hitting sales targets and quotas.
  • Prospect and Build Relationships: Engage in outbound cold calling to potential system integrators, VARs, and OEM customers to drive new business.
  • Executive-Level Engagement: Identify and cultivate opportunities to generate revenue through relationships with senior management and high-level executives.
  • Pipeline Management: Assemble and manage a pipeline of short-term and long-term opportunities across targeted vertical markets.
  • Inventory and Order Management: Monitor inventory, negotiate prices, address order status, manage credit issues, and negotiate returns.
  • Customer Engagement: Travel to customer sites to present Supermicro's products and maintain ongoing relationships, ensuring customer satisfaction and loyalty.
  • Team Leadership: Supervise or co-supervise a sales team, provide coaching and development, and manage performance-related issues to ensure team success.

What You'll Bring:

Essential Qualifications:


  • Bachelor's degree required; MBA preferred.
  • 10+ years of experience in server sales, preferably in a related technology field.
  • Strong drive for results with a proven track record of exceeding sales quotas.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and oral, with executive presence and sound judgment.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage competing tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong negotiation, presentation, and closing skills.
  • A proactive approach to self-administration when needed.
  • Proficiency in English; additional language skills are a plus.
  • Willingness to travel up to 15% of the time, as required.

Salary Range

$185,000 - $260,000

The salary offered will depend on several factors, including your location, level, education, training, specific skills, years of experience, and comparison to other employees already in this role. In addition to a comprehensive benefits package, candidates may be eligible for other forms of compensation, such as participation in bonus and equity award programs.
