The Associate Upstream Marketing Manager works collaboratively with the upstream marketing team and key stakeholders to propose, prioritize, and execute development of clinically differentiable products and feature sets within our emerging next generation Infusion Systems portfolio. The Associate Manager supports the Infusion Systems organization with data analysis, competitive analysis and business case development.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Perform data analysis and present key takeaways to multiple levels of the organization.
Support primary market research and KOL events to secure and interpret the voice-of the customer both stated and unstated user needs.
Source, analyze, and share summaries of secondary research.
Identify opportunities to enhance existing and emerging product offerings and support development of longer-term products and services roadmap.
Quantify market and segment available markets and built business case/models to demonstrate return on investment and drive prioritization of development options.
Support development of data-based insights to drive launch-strategy, including pricing, messaging, and product positioning.
Support development of international productization and roll-out cadence and strategy.
Develop hands-on, in-depth knowledge of competitive products and maintain technical analysis of competitive strengths and weaknesses, features, underlying technology, etc.
May represent the marketing function within the core team development framework.
Requires the ability to develop recommendations, often with limited and conflicting data.
Requires the ability to understand, collaborate with and influence key corporate stakeholders, including R&D, Clinical, Regulatory and Finance.
Requires the ability to reprioritize and change gears across projects as necessary.
Work on special assignments as they arise.
Knowledge, Skills & Qualifications
Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to articulate portfolio value propositions to a variety of decisiion makers.
Proficient in Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook. Experience with more advanced tools (SQL, Python) will be viewed favorably.
Background in medical devices, product development, market research or strategy highly desirable.
Education and Experience
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university is required; additional consideration for MBA, experience in using medical devices and/or technical or health sciences undergraduate degree.
2+ years in product marketing with understanding of current marketing and communication trends.
Prior product development experience preferred but not required.
Minimum Qualifications
Must be at least 18 years of age.
Must pass pre-employment drug screen and background check.
Travel Requirements
Typically requires travel 5%-20% of the time
