Job Summary:
Performs basic duties to support hospital's objectives, policies and procedures by conducting inventory, organizing supplies, unpacking deliveries, verifying purchase orders, and distributing supplies to the proper locations. Maintains proper par levels of supplies and ensures that areas on patient care floors are stocked with appropriate par levels of supplies and equipment. Processes department equipment in accordance with departmental, hospital, and infection control policy and ensures that equipment is clean, setup, and calibrated prior to patient use. Adheres to departmental quality, productivity and performance standards.
EXPERIENCE DESCRIPTION:
Experience working in a hospital environment and working within patient care areas of a hospital is preferred.
EDUCATION DESCRIPTION:
High School diploma or equivalent is preferred.
SPECIAL SKILLS DESCRIPTION:
Interpersonal skills necessary to interact with staff in a courteous manner. Ability to read and follow written and verbal instructions. Ability to work independently and be self-motivated. Organization/time management.
