The Talent Manager is responsible for identifying, developing, and retaining high-performing employees within the organization. The role involves supporting the implementation of talent management, Learning and Development, and Employee Engagement strategies that align with the organization's business goals and objectives. The Senior Talent Manager will be responsible for collaborating with various teams to provide training, coaching, and career development opportunities that enable employees to reach their full potential and to improve employee engagement.
Duties and Responsibilities
Develop and implement employee training and development programs
Provide coaching and career development opportunities to employees
Design and development of employee engagement and retention strategies
Lead Employee Engagement and Performance Management programs, monitor participation and user acceptance, coordinate the yearly cycle, and manage related budgets.
Measure the effectiveness of talent management initiatives and make recommendations for improvements
Develop and implement training programs to meet the needs of various departments and levels of the organization, including leadership, technical, and soft skills training
Collaborate with subject matter experts to create training materials, including presentations, handouts, e-learning modules, and job aids
Deliver training sessions to employees in a variety of formats, including classroom instruction, webinars, and virtual training sessions
Evaluate the effectiveness of training programs and make recommendations for improvements
Partner with HR Business Partners and department managers to identify training needs and develop training plans
Keep up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in learning and development
Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements related to talent management
Manage relationships with Talent Management, Learning and Development, and Employee Engagement vendors
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Proven experience as a Talent Manager or in a similar role
Knowledge of adult learning principles and instructional design methodologies
At least 7 years of experience in Learning and Development or a related field, including experience with program design, development, and delivery
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with experience in delivering training sessions to groups
In-depth knowledge of talent management strategies and best practices
Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders at all levels of the organization
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and evaluate the effectiveness of training programs
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Learning Management Systems
Education and Experience
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, or a related field or equivalent combination of experience and schooling; Master's degree preferred
