Job Title: Representative - Field Customer Service

Job Summary
This position is responsible for providing superior face-to-face customer service to all RG&E customers. Customer Representatives communicate about all aspects of customer accounts, process customer payments, perform collections related transactions, perform Department of Social Services transactions, process customer requests for service, handle billing inquires and other miscellaneous customer transactions and duties.
Responsibilities:
Handles collection activities, DSS transactions, turn-on/shut-off requests, and billing inquiries for walk-in customers in one of RG&Es Customer Offices. Utilize customer service skills and training to ensure quality customer transactions, assuring that customers receive prompt, courtesy service and accurate information.
Ensures that customer records are updated accurately. Audits and maintains all related records including meter data, maintenance plans and equipment certification records.
Takes payment from customers and applies payment to customer account. Balances cash drawer and prepares daily cash deposit.
Performs miscellaneous customer service transactions and assists with gas and electric emergencies.
Required Qualifications:
High school/GED with 2 years relevant experience.
Strong interpersonal skills.
Good computer skills.
Mathematical abilities.
Preferred Qualifications:
Good analytical and decision-making skills.
SAP experience.
RG&E billing and collections experience.
