USB’s direct-to-consumer business has an ambitious growth agenda and is on the journey to scaling into a global organization.
The eCommerce Merchandising Associate is responsible for creating a consumer-first experience to drive sales and engagement. You will collaborate with brand teams and e-commerce leaders to build a compelling catalog of product and devise effective selling strategies. You will manage the consumer journey and shopping experience for key brands on USB’s DTC channel and partner with cross-functional teams across the organization to facilitate product launches and execution. You will manage a portfolio of brands, collaborate across a robust suite of cross-functional partners, and contribute with sales reports and consumer insights. This role is customer-obsessed and trend-savvy, monitoring the retail landscape, and using financial skills, web analytics and historical sales data to drive compelling assortments and increase sales.
What Your Impact Will Be:
Develop and maintain a product catalog across a suite of global brand partners to deliver on DTC sales goal, corporate growth strategy, and brand expansion/presence.
Develop and maintain full year calendar in accordance with the DTC business strategy inclusive of product launches and content activations
Partner with brand team across USB brands to develop the business strategy in support of both e-commerce and brand initiatives
Partner with marketing team to develop a compelling e-commerce offer and experience to drive customer conversion and repurchase
Partner with creative team to develop assets and copy in accordance with business strategy and brand guidelines
Drive planning and execution of all e-commerce projects, inclusive of product launches and content activations
Report on a per product, campaign, brand, and monthly basis, translating data into actionable insights
Set appropriate production quotas, sales expectations and to deliver product to financial requirements.
Leverage analytics to drive improvements for the product catalogue, brand portfolio, and e-commerce experience
Build a positive team environment and culture
POSITION SPECIFICS:
This is a full-time position
Typical work hours and days are Monday – Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
No travel is expected for this position
This position is based in the Fountain Valley, CA office
This position requires in-office attendance at least 4-5 days per week
PAY TRANSPARENCY:
The Company is committed to fair, equitable, and transparent compensation. Final compensation will be determined by various factors such as your relevant work experience, education, certifications, skills, and geographic location.
The Salary range for this role in Fountain Valley, CA is $75,000-$80,000.00.
In addition, you may be eligible for additional compensation, such as a bonus. Employees may also be eligible for a wide range of other benefits, including health & wellness benefits, retirement, time off, employee discounts, and others.
Qualification:
What We’re Looking For:
3+ years of experience or equivalent accomplishments in consumer products brand-focused business; sporting goods or apparel preferred
Experience in merchandise planning
Experience with buying/catalog planning/product development cycles and cost + benefit considerations for balancing a sales portfolio
Experience specifically with Shopify Platform
Experience in digital merchandising and/or marketing with full understanding of the consumer journey through the purchase funnel to customer retention
Experience managing business strategy with an ability to make quick decisions and effectively communicate updates/next steps
Experience working with multiple brands
Ability to analyze data and turn analytics into actionable insights
Excellent reporting and presentation skills
Knowledge of digital/e-commerce best practices in SEO, SEM, CRO, etc.
Financial model familiarity and business experience required
Affinity for sporting goods or apparel highly desired.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS/WORK ENVIRONMENT: Candidate must be able to successfully perform the essential functions of this job with ability to: be in a stationary position 50% of the time; occasionally move about inside the office to access fine cabinets, office machinery (such as a calculator, copy machine, printer, etc.); constantly operate a computer; occasionally ascend/descend stairs; constantly position self to maintain files in file cabinets; the ability to communicate information and ideas so others will understand; must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations; the ability to observe details at close range (within a few feed of the observer); and frequently move boxes weighing up to 10 pounds across office for various needs. Ability to work in outdoor weather conditions if projects/opportunities arise. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
