What You'll Do:

  • Provide client care, conduct initial health assessments, and develop care plans based on health history and needs
  • Review referrals for Maternal and Pediatric clients, determining needs and collaborating with healthcare providers to develop care plans
  • Maintain ongoing communication with clients and professionals to coordinate services and adjust care plans as needed
  • Conduct office/home visits for pre/postnatal clients and newborn assessments, providing interventions and education
  • Document intervention activities, mentor staff, and students, and ensure compliance with guidelines and requirements

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing; Associate's Degree with two years experience in parent-child nursing may be substituted for the Bachelor's degree
  • Six months of experience providing newborn exams is preferred
  • WA State RN License. If RN license is in a participating Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) state, the following requirements apply:
    • Must submit proof of license in state of residence.
    • Must submit proof of completion for the required suicide prevention training during 1st week of onboarding.
    • If relocating to Washington State, must obtain WA RN license within six months of hire
    • Must update primary state of residence within 60 days (applies to anyone relocating to Washington State)
    • Military Nurses are not required to obtain a Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC)
  • BLS Certification within 90 days of hire
  • International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC) may be required
  • Valid Driver's License and proof of automobile liability insurance coverage
