Job Summary
The CAV project management intern will work closely with the Center for Rural Engagement's Director of Campus Partnership to promote and plan CAV (Creative Arts for Vets) guidebook distribution and network building.
Department-Specific Responsibilities
Researches various information to advance the CAV initiative (identifying potential donors, relevant event possibilities, grant opportunities, community partner contacts, and resources for veterans and military connected populations).
Develops and maintains databases and documentation of pertinent research findings.
Plans and helps facilitate in-person CAV events.
Packages CAV Books and art supplies and mail to veterans in the state, region, and nationally.

Access to a vehicle as needed to complete deliveries to Mail Services

Working Conditions / Demands
This role requires the ability to effectively communicate and to operate a computer and other standard office productivity equipment. The position involves sedentary work as well as periods of time moving around an office environment and the campus. This role requires the ability to move objects weighing up to 30 pounds. The person in this role must be able to perform the essential functions with or without an accommodation.
Additional Information
We are looking for a student to start immediately (Spring 25) and work through this summer and continue through AY25-26.
This student will work with veterans and community members as well as 3 or 4 other IU student CAV interns.

$15.00 per hour
Work Hours
5-10 hours per week depending on project volume
In-person CAV events usually take place on 1 Saturday per month.
