We are looking to add new talent to our growing team! We are currently seeking an Assistant Project Manager, Environmental Engineer, Assistant Project Manager, Geologist or Assistant Project Manager, Scientist to work in a technical support role with highly skilled professionals on diverse project teams in a dynamic environment. This is an excellent opportunity to join a growing group and company and get involved in a variety of projects for a diverse range of clients. This is a full-time, hybrid position located in our Seattle, WA or Portland, OR office.

DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES
The successful candidate will:

  • Serve as a key member of the environmental group with the ability to step in and immediately assist projects in the Pacific Northwest.
  • Work collaboratively with a passionate team supporting a wide variety of clients with challenging projects.
  • Understand client needs and be able to develop strong client relationships.
  • Have a strong understanding of regulatory requirements in Washington and Oregon.
  • Be capable of assisting project managers with financial, technical, and regulatory aspects of projects.
  • Assist project managers to meet technical, quality, budgetary, and scheduling requirements.
  • Demonstrate very strong verbal communications and written skills including client and regulatory deliverables.
  • Be effective in task coordinating assignments and work.
  • Ability to coach and mentor junior level field staff.
  • Ability to learn quality control, planning, cost estimating, and scheduling.
  • Assist with directing environmental field observation and testing programs.
  • Be able to effectively assist project managers with various remediation projects.
  • Develop a working understanding of H&A’s other consulting practice areas and actively support marketing other services to existing clients.

SKILLS/EXPERIENCE

  • Minimum Bachelor of Science in Civil/Environmental Engineering, Geology, or Environmental Science (MS Degree preferred).
  • Minimum 6 years of relevant consulting experience in Pacific Northwest with: environmental regulations, environmental investigations and site characterization, remediation technologies, operation and maintenance, and construction.
  • Have professional registration PE/RG – or can get it within 6 months of hire (preferred).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Must be proficient at writing, technical reports to meet scope and quality objectives and client expectations.
  • Ability to comply with the Guiding Principles and Code of Behavior articulated in our Company Handbook.

The salary range for this position in Seattle, WA is $95,000 - $115,000 annually. Actual compensation will be based upon a variety of factors such as education, related work experience, certificates, skills, and current market conditions. Haley & Aldrich reviews salary ranges each quarter to assess competitiveness with the market. This role is eligible to participate in the company’s discretionary bonus program. This role may be eligible to receive a sign-on bonus.
