You will be responsible for overseeing maintenance planning and scheduling at the Midway, TN site. This position plays a critical role in ensuring the reliability, efficiency, and performance of equipment and facilities, while also reducing downtime and optimizing maintenance operations. You will collaborate closely with on-site maintenance teams, engineers, and leadership to ensure that maintenance tasks are well-coordinated and executed efficiently.


Here’s What You’ll Get To Do:


Drive Capital Projects



  • Take the lead in specifying, designing, and managing installations that enhance plant equipment and processes, boosting productivity and reducing operating costs.

  • Craft compelling capital cost justifications to support impactful improvements.


Enhance Preventive Maintenance



  • Develop, document, and optimize preventive maintenance programs to maximize equipment availability and throughput.

  • Analyze equipment failures, identify root causes, and implement strategic corrective actions while leveraging the eMaint system to continuously improve PM effectiveness.


Provide Technical Expertise



  • Offer valuable technical support to maintenance personnel during troubleshooting and repairs, ensuring smooth operations.


Forecast Spare Parts Needs



  • Anticipate spare parts requirements and collaborate with the ME team to adjust inventory levels based on MTTF, critical spare parts and long lead time parts


Evaluate Equipment Needs



  • Assess and recommend upgrades, rebuilds, and replacements for equipment to ensure peak performance.


Coordinate Projects



  • Work collaboratively with engineering resources, operations, maintenance staff, and contractors to schedule and oversee projects seamlessly.


Additional Opportunities:



  • Assist the Maintenance Supervisor in planning and supervising both internal and external maintenance services, contributing to a safe and efficient working environment.

  • Champion lean, quality, and teamwork initiatives to foster a culture of excellence within the plant.


 


Here’s What We Are Looking For:



  • Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering preferred - a blend of education and relevant experience will also be considered

  • A minimum of 3 years in a manufacturing or maintenance environment, ideally in an engineering or maintenance support role

  • An uncompromising safety-first approach in the workplace. At OBE we have each other’s back


 


Preferred Qualifications:



  • Certification in Maintenance Planning and Scheduling (CMRP, CMM, or similar).

  • Experience with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement initiatives.

  • Experience in managing large-scale operations

  • Bachelors degree
