Job Description

In support of a Public Sector customer, CSCI is looking for a Senior Project Manager to lead a team of five (5) providing all system development lifecycle activities for multiple Department of Defense (DoD) systems. The Senior Project Manager will be responsible for ensuring adherence to quality standards and reviews of all project deliverables and oversees the team's performance and serves as the primary POC for the client.Responsibilities
  • Manages the integration of team tasks, tracks and ensures adherence to quality standards for all deliverables.
  • Oversees the team's performance and serves as the primary POC for the team and client.
  • Develops and delivers all monthly status reports.
  • Supports in the development of all system lifecycle development artifacts.
  • Reviews all invoices and cost reports.
  • Prepares and provides management reviews to identify and address progress, problems and other pertinent information.
  • Analyze performance and recommend corrective actions during the project or release.
  • Track staffing, funding, and schedules and inform the client of any significant problems or issues uncovered.
  • Participate in regular technical and management reviews.
  • Evaluate procedure performance factors, such as execution time, resource requirements, skill requirements, and complexity.
  • Propose tasks and procedures which improve process efficiency and quality.
Minimum Requirements
  • U.S. Citizenship and an active Secret Security Clearance.
  • Bachelors Degree in a relevant field.
  • 5+ years of Project Management experience on DoD initiatives.
  • Familiarity with all activities in the System Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • Proven ability to work with cross-functional teams and maintain positive relationships with customers and vendors.
  • Demonstrated ability to comply with data standards and policies.
  • Enthusiasm for learning new technologies and processes to drive continuous improvement.
Preferred Skills
  • Experience managing a team of Java and Oracle developers and/or COBOL programmers.
  • Development experience in a Java and/or Oracle environment.
