As an Infection Control Nurse, you will play a key role in preventing and managing infections, ensuring the safety of our patients and staff.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop, implement, and monitor infection prevention and control programs to reduce the risk of infection in healthcare settings.
Conduct surveillance of infections across the facility, identifying trends, outbreaks, and implementing corrective actions.
Educate staff, patients, and visitors on infection control practices and procedures.
Perform regular audits of infection control protocols and recommend improvements.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure proper patient care, particularly in managing high-risk cases.
Participate in training and in-service sessions for staff on infection prevention.
Ensure compliance with local, state, and national infection control regulations.
Qualifications:
Current LVN (Licensed Vocational Nurse) or RN (Registered Nurse) license in California.
Certification in Infection Control (CIC) is preferred, or must be willing to obtain within a specified time frame.
In-depth knowledge of infection prevention protocols, healthcare-associated infections, and regulatory requirements.
Strong analytical skills and ability to interpret data.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently as well as part of a collaborative team.
