Experience required: ProFee for Primary Care, Urgent Care, E&M, hospitalist, and ancillary coding experience
Would prefer candidates with Labs and Radiology experience
Must have Epic experience
Knowledge of inpatient and outpatient billing practices
Start is ASAP
Job Summary: The Physician Coder is responsible for reviewing and accurately coding medical records for physician services. This role ensures compliance with coding guidelines and regulations, optimizing reimbursement and supporting the overall financial health of the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
Review and analyze medical records to assign appropriate ICD-10-CM, CPT, and HCPCS codes.
Ensure coding accuracy and compliance with federal regulations and guidelines.
Collaborate with physicians and healthcare providers to clarify diagnoses and procedures.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of coding guidelines and industry changes.
Participate in coding audits and provide feedback for continuous improvement.
Assist in resolving coding-related billing issues and discrepancies.
Contribute to the development and implementation of coding policies and procedures.
Qualifications & Requirements:
Must be a certified coder through AAPC or AHIMA
