Job Description:

The General Manager responsible for the overall efficiency, profitability, and smooth operation of the plant, as well as ensuring that customer expectations are met and safety standards are upheld.


This role is classified as safety sensitive.


Duties Responsibilities:




  • Safety Compliance: Follow all safety protocols and guidelines to maintain a safe work environment


  • Direct and Coordinate Production Activities: Manage the coordination and oversight of departments responsible for the production, pricing, sales, and delivery of Greenhill Concrete products


  • Analyze Financial and Performance Data: Review financial statements, sales reports, and performance data to assess productivity, achieve goals, and identify opportunities for cost reduction or operational improvements


  • Oversee Administrative Functions: Supervise and direct administrative activities related to the manufacturing, sales, and delivery of products


  • Conduct Site Inspections: Inspect work progress, equipment, and plant sites to ensure compliance with safety standards, quality assurance, and project specifications


  • Manage Personnel Functions: Handle recruitment, training, and performance evaluations for team members to ensure strong team development and effective staffing


  • Collaborate to Resolve Issues: Work with operations staff, quality control, other departments, and customers to resolve operational issues and coordinate activities


  • Train and Develop Crew Members: Provide necessary training and development opportunities to enhance crew members' skills and performance


  • Maintain Customer Relationships: Ensure strong customer relations by providing professional and courteous service, addressing any concerns promptly


Required Skills/Abilities/Experience:



  • 10 years of ready mix experience

  • 5 years management experience


Physical Requirements and Work Environment:



  • Work is performed in a variety of weather conditions with exposure to outdoor elements

  • Functions essential to this position include but are not limited to standing, sitting, stooping, bending, walking and lifting heavy objects (50 pounds) during the course of the work day


Other duties, responsibilities, required skills/abilities, and physical requirements may be added, changed, or removed by immediate supervisor.
