Position Summary


A Contract & Tariff Quality Analyst is responsible for analyzing and ensuring the accuracy and quality of contracts and tariffs within an organization. They review and evaluate contract and tariff documents, identify discrepancies or errors, and work with cross-functional teams to resolve any issues. They may also develop and implement quality control processes, provide recommendations for improvement, and maintain documentation of contract and tariff changes. Strong attention to detail, analytical skills, and knowledge of relevant industry regulations are essential for success in this role.

  • Analyze and facilitate Contract & Tariff Quality
    • Ensure tariff rule and rate publications are facilitated in compliance with FMC regulations and aligned with LARA tariff books
    • Manage updates within USA Export LARA tariff books excluding N/S trades
    • Complete quality analysis reviews on all contract proposals and amendments to ensure proper construction for auto-freighting

  • Promptly research and resolve RFI's raised by GBS centers. Drive resolution with related teams.
    • Service contract proposals and amendments
    • Contract validation and seaport errors
    • Send For Signature
    • FMC Filing
    • LARA service contract upload
    • Service contract workflow updates in LARA and SharePoint
    • Tariff Rule and Rate Publications

  • Troubleshoot LARA auto-freighting at HO, local and global teams' requests, providing a high level of customer service in assisting the user.
    • Research and resolve issues in a timely manner by reviewing contracts in SharePoint and comparing the information to LARA data.
    • Research and resolve issues in a timely manner by reviewing public tariff filings and entries in LARA tariff books.

    • As the subject matter experts for tariff and contract regulations it is essential to collaborate with Global Commercial teams to improve contract quality construction and tariff publication instructions submitted to GBS centers

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities

  • Understanding of FMC regulations
  • Understanding of the Shipping Act and Title 46 of the Code of Federal Regulations
  • Working knowledge of Commercial, Trade and Financial jargon of international trade.
  • Proficient with all Microsoft Applications & Basic CMA CGM systems
    • Excel, Word, LARA, SharePoint, SQ module, TLI application, TERRA, Price Finder / RateBase
  • Advanced understand of LARA service contract template construction and Contract process
  • Proven ability to liaison with customers within all levels of the organization (internal & external)
  • Overall industry knowledge in order to understand and comprehend contract terms and conditions both within the contract template and contract boilerplate
  • Demonstrated problem solving and analytical skills
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills required
  • Proven ability to work well within a team
