Summary:

This is a hybrid role, and candidates must reside within a commutable distance to Altru Hospital.


The Provider Recruiter is responsible for facilitating all aspects of the recruitment process to ensure effective and efficient Physician, Advanced Practice Provider, and Leader recruitment. This position facilitates the recruitment process from start to finish including marketing strategy development and implementation, sourcing, pre-screening, consulting, and advising throughout the selection process, and participating in offer negotiation. The Provider Recruiter develops and implements pro-active recruitment strategies, monitors market trends and best practices, and supports improvement initiatives. Incorporates internal talent pool, referrals, applicant tracking system, networking (including social media, schools, professional associations, career fairs, etc.) into sourcing strategy. Serves as a liaison to external search firms and recruits to achieve timely recruitment follow up and completion. Provides high quality customer service, cultivating relationships with leaders to understand the operational and growth goals of services lines and the organization. Partners with hiring leaders, serving as a consultant to develop and escalate strategic recruitment plans.



Essential Job Functions:



  • Partners with leaders, community/state resources, and academic institutions/training programs locally and nationwide to develop and continually support a robust recruitment strategy with the intent to hire providers who fulfill the organization's goals, mission, vision and values.


  • Sources and pre-screens candidates, including serving as a liaison throughout the recruitment process with oversight of site visit coordination for candidates and their families. Works with external resources such as immigration attorneys and relocation companies as appropriate.


  • Tracks and maintains accurate and timely records of all candidate relationships, providing regular sourcing strategy updates and recommendations to leadership. Assists in development and maintenance of applications used to track provider recruiting related metrics.


  • Promotes Altru Health System at varying recruitment functions such as job fairs, university career days and community events. Serves as a liaison with employment agencies, search firms and sourcing/advertising entities. Develops relationships that build and foster strong mutually beneficial partnerships.


  • Develops and implements recruitment and marketing strategies leveraging expertise of internal and external resources keeping Altru's brand and financial stewardship at the forefront of decisions. Investigates market trends and develops proposals for new and innovative ways to source provider candidates.


  • Maintains a working knowledge of Altru's compensation methodologies and assists with the preparation, presentation and negotiation of compensation to candidates during interview process.


  • Collaborates with internal support departments such as employee health, clinical education, human resources, credentialing, information services, and hiring leaders to ensure a positive hiring and onboarding experience for new hires.


  • Ensures compliance with labor and employment law principles and policies to prevent any liability or other impacts based on hiring practices.


  • Performs other duties as assigned or needed to meet the needs of the department/organization.
