SUMMARY: This position is responsible for maintaining and ensuring proper inventory levels of plant managed parts, reordering parts, receiving and validating orders of parts and maintaining a critical parts list all to ensure the plant will operate with no down time. This position will also be responsible for ordering and receive parts and equipment for the Live Operations Department as well as the front office as necessary.
RESPONSBILITIES:
Order Parts and Equipment
Review work orders daily to determine parts usage
Maintain inventory in the parts room to re-order when required
Maintain critical parts list and update as needed while ensuring the minimum/maximum levels are correct
Enter all parts ordered in Maintenance CMMS
Create all purchase requests and submit for approval
Order supplies needed by all departments as requested
Ensure that no parts are ordered without a valid work order attached
Receive and Stock Parts
Receive parts that have been ordered
Verify the order is complete
Stock parts that are received in the correct areas
Update Maintenance CMMS with parts received
Inventory
Develop and plan the flow of the part room while maintaining its order and cleanliness
Perform audits of the parts room to ensure that we maintain proper levels
Other Duties
Obtain parts or supplies from local vendors as directed by the Maintenance Supervisor
Other duties as assigned by the Procurement Manager
REQUIREMENTS:
Education: High School diploma or equivalent acceptable - College preferred
Experience: 2 years of experience in maintenance field preferred to aid in identifying parts and determining if they are acceptable for required application
Computer Skills: Strong computer skills with ability to learn new systems, working knowledge of Word, Excel, Power Point, and Projects preferred
Communication Skills:
Excellent communication skills; both verbal and written skills
Physical Requirements / Environment:
Stand/Walking: Continuously (8 or more hours)
Grasp: Continuously (picking up product to cut)
Pull/Push: Occasionally (5-8 lbs of product toward work area)
Lift/Carry: Continuously (2-12 ounces) frequently (up to 20-40 lbs.)
Other Physical Requirements: Bend/Stoop occasionally
Physical Environment: Continuously - Working around moving machinery, working in a cold environment (28-34 degrees).
Other Requirements:
Excellent attention to detail, time management and organizational skills
Highly motivated self-starter who is willing to implement new processes and ideas with minimal supervision
Willingness to work overtime as required
Ability to carry out essential duties and responsibilities within safety guidelines
