Provides analytical, problem solving, troubleshooting, system configuration and administrative support, testing, reporting and training relating to Boise State University's suite of applications.

Department Overview:
The department of Student Financial Services (SFS) assists students in understanding their educational costs and making smart financial decisions for college education. Supports the campus community by processing student account transactions and department deposits.

This position has the opportunity for hybrid and/or flexible scheduling after a six-month training period.
Essential Functions:
Manage and coordinate the Student Financial Services calendar, ensuring all processes and dependencies are identified and scheduled accurately.
Set up and post tuition and fees accurately and on time each term.
Oversee and maintain the third-party payment system resolving backend issues in collaboration with OIT developers.
Attend team and campus meetings to align on dates, activities and processes impacting Student Financial Services.
Identify issues, recommend solutions and support resolution efforts.
Develop and improve automated system strategies, procedures and timelines; serve as a liaison between users and technical teams.
Create and review test criteria, analyze results and recommend system changes for accuracy and functionality.
Ability to find potential issues and create solutions effectively.
Provide end-user support, resolve inquiries and communicate solutions effectively.
Facilitate team-building efforts to empower end users in problem identification and resolution.
Ensure solutions align with broader system processes and communicate impacts to relevant teams.
Assist with staff training, update testing templates and identify process improvement opportunities.
Investigate, analyze and resolve issues encountered by users. Documents all changes to processes and functionality and assist in creating necessary training documents to support staff. Stays current on software updates, new functionality or enhancements to be able to make future state recommendations.
Liaison between business and technical areas. Act as business analyst, responsible for monitoring work to meet deadlines associated with any activity or project. Deliver solutions by providing extensive system expertise.
Research issues related to system issues and provide direction for timely issue resolution. Responsible for testing of system fixes/patches. Upgrades including writing test scripts, executing test scripts to ensure no issues will be introduced to the system as a result of a patch or bundle.
Work with report end users to determine data requirements, design output format, validate results for both ad hoc and scheduled reports for internal use.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:
Excellent communication skills including written and verbal and the ability to participate or facilitate meetings/conversations.
Aptitude for working with computer programs and various software applications/products.
Attention to detail.
Excellent skills with MS Word, Access, Excel PSquery, SQL/PLSQL Developer.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's or Advanced Degree and 5 years of professional experience or equivalent relevant experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
Demonstrated proficiency in SQL, including the ability to write and optimize queries.
At least two years of full-time, progressively responsible experience working with ERP software applications, preferably PeopleSoft.
Strong ability to effectively communicate technical concepts and solutions to audiences with varying levels of technical expertise.
Salary and Benefits:
Salary starting at $58,905.60 annually and is commensurate with experience. Boise State University provides a best-in-class benefits package, including (but not limited to):
