Position Overview: Electrical Engineer; has Plant Electrical Engineering responsibility for the SCS and OTS facilities. This includes plant power distribution, Lock out Tag out, Data Acquisition system as well as the electrical portion of production lines, manufacturing standalone equipment and systems.
Responsibilities and Duties: (*Indicates an Essential Function)
Programming and troubleshooting of AC/DC digital/analog drive systems, programmable logic controllers (PLC) and HMI programs.
Update and save the production lines PLC programs on a plant Network drive so that the backup is available when needed.
Carries out electrical engineering assignments which include the routine electrical design, modifications, instrumentation and control upgrades and troubleshooting.
Understand and maintain the Arc Flash analysis, labeling and coordination study of the Plant power distribution and production lines.
Set up and maintain the Machine Data Acquisition system and Data Logging software (Citeck and Wonderware) for Extrusion and Loose tube lines which includes creating and Compiling scripts, capturing data on server and generating reports.
Maintains the electrical and mechanical Lockout and Tagout SPIMS for manufacturing facility and production lines following the OSHA electrical safety program.
Performs electrical failure diagnosis and analytical troubleshooting to determine the cause of failure and implements equipment upgrade/improvements to increase machine uptime, production output, product quality and equipment reliability.
Set up and maintain the PC lines Liburdi WinTube welding system.
Responsible for preparing plans, specifications and electrical wiring/schematic drawings on AutoCAD, also Responsible for updating the plant and production line electrical documentation.
Working with applicable GMP, OSHA, NEC, NFPA, ANSI, and UL standards to ensure personnel, site, and systems safety requirements are met or exceeded.
Learn and follow SubCom EH&S policies to work safely and insure and promote the safe work practices.
Support the use of LEAN Manufacturing tools in all areas of responsibility. LEAN tools should include 5S+1 in Office areas, and TPM on the manufacturing floor.
Develop a strong work ethic and a positive relationship with Process Engineering, Manufacturing, Maintenance, and IT teams to help troubleshoot and improve the Manufacturing quality, cost and delivery

Qualifications:
BS in Electrical Engineering.
Experience: Minimum 2 to 4 years of plant electrical engineering experience in a factory environment.
Required: Knowledge and/or experience with drive systems and industrial controls. Experience and/or knowledge of calibration methods and Data Acquisition system. Familiarity with NEC and OSHA electrical codes. Knowledge of equipment preventive maintenance procedures. Strong communication skills, team leadership skills and ability to provide technical leadership. Highly self-motivated, organized, with excellent attention to details. Knowledge of document control software applications (such as DOCS OPEN).
Basic computer skills (Word, Excel) writing instructions and reports. Drafting experience (AutoCAD or other) would be a plus.
