The Education and Training Coordinator develops and supports the overall associate training program through the Education and Training Pillar, manages, and facilitates an onboarding operational training for hourly production associates to improve their technical skills and performance. This role ensures that associates are equipped through training and preparation to run their respective areas efficiently to meet role expectations.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:


  • Deliver and facilitate all onboarding activities for new hires.

  • Manage onboarding new hire training content, ensuring all information is updated and current.

  • Help develop the overall education and training program and strategies for the site

  • Ensure the onboarding training plans and evaluations are being completed through designated audits and verification follow ups with operational associates.

  • Working closely with the site on training and coaching all associates on (Mars TPM Program) E&T standards.

  • Through the progression stages of (Mars TPM Program), you will ensure that the hourly role standards be incorporated into the role profile, working closely with P&O, as well as updating the induction and training plans for newcomers.

  • Facilitate the role profiling methodology to build clear inventories of responsibilities and required skills; identify gaps to build training course and curriculum.

  • Work closely with the Education and Training Lead and Expert to use loss data to build the factory skills matrix; ensuring this is kept up to date with the outputs of Associate validation.

  • Help develop a standardized and robust training for all operational associates, building the appropriate training standards and validation procedures to eliminate factory losses.

  • Ensure appropriate knowledge management methodologies are applied to maintain, share and update recorded knowledge within the site's information structure

  • Facilitate the training design and development methodology with support from the Subject Matter Experts (i.e. Operations, Safety, QF&S, etc.) in a way to drive standardization and simplification across the sites.

  • Training & Coaching on all E&T processes, systems, and tools.

  • Provide leadership, objectives, feedback, and performance coaching to all associates involved in site education and training programs, especially on the job trainers and expert trainers.

  • Create and support framework to ensure successful onboarding for new associates according standard.

  • Provide administrative support as required

  • Manage training iPads and other technical equipment for training purposes

  • Develop engagement opportunities to increase associate engagement and participation

  • Other admin tasks and other duties as assigned: Process Confirmation, Peer Observation Feedback,

Education & Desired Professional Qualifications


  • High School Diploma or GED is required.

  • Experience in a manufacturing environment.

  • Experience as a Trainer in a manufacturing environment is a plus.

  • Experience with training adult learners is a plus.

  • Experience completing full training cycles: assess needs, plan, develop, monitor, and adjust is a plus.

  • Experience with instructional design theory and implementation is a plus.

  • Strong organizational and multi-tasking skills

  • Outstanding written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills

  • Strong interpersonal skills with ability to inspire and work together with associates within all levels of the organization

  • Ability to work with confidentiality

  • Excellent computer skills with experience in Word, PowerPoint, and Excel

  • Ability to work with little or no supervision

  • Flexibility in schedule may be required on occasion based on business needs

Key Functional Competencies & Technical Skills


  • Manufacturing Flow

  • Outstanding written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.

  • Preferred:

    • TPM Knowledge or Experience

    • Understanding of applicable laws (OHS, ESA, MOL)

    • Knowledge of Food Safety, HACCP, ISO, SPC
