Job Description
This position directly supports the INCO Lithia Springs manufacturing facility and reports to the Plant Controller. The position will partner with the LSP team on a day-to-day basis to provide key analytics with the overall objective of identifying opportunities to drive improvements within the facility.
This position will involve analyzing production volumes and metrics, highlighting manufacturing expense variances, tracking capital expenditures vs budget, and being a finance business partner to all functions within the manufacturing facility.
The right individual for this role is someone who has exposure to the manufacturing operations as it relates to plant-level financials and indexes, is a self-motivated, energetic, and willing to take on existing/new challenges with a positive attitude.
Support/Participate in all assigned LSP safety related training, protocols, and programs.
Analyze manufacturing cost variance results (materials, labor, Factory OH), metrics, and trends within pre-established integrals and work with production supervisors/process engineers/others to perform root cause analysis.
Work with Materials Master Data team to coordinate/facilitate set-up of new raw and finished goods materials.
Coordinate/Maintain product bill of materials (BOMs) and process master routers in order to ensure accurate raw materials, labor, and factory overhead consumption.
Perform period-end absorption reconciliations in order to ensure alignment with actual/budgeted costing expectations.
Work with production/warehouse associates to minimize/mitigate materials inventory adjustments and scrap trends.
Work with Quality and other associates to ensure reflective accounting of inventoried materials in both Saleable and QA Hold status.
Process, track, and report on Temporary employees labor hours and dollars usage.
Process, track, report, and ensure compliance of the of hourly incentives programs.
Provide financial support and analysis of the production/warehouse waste materials recycling programs and initiatives.
Prepare/Enter & perform post analysis of a specified list of journal entries during period-end close process.
Perform monthly and on-going reconciliation of finished goods balances within the various perpetual systems (SAP S/4, ECC, Catalyst, and E80).
Collaborate with production supervisors, process engineers, and other manufacturing staff to drive improved processes enabling cost savings.
Track, update, and routinely report on the spending status of approved capital projects (CIP recon).
Recycling revenue tracking, as well as, identifying improvement opportunities.
Key contributor in the financial validation of the new SAP manufacturing system.
Provide support in the implementation of new processes and the establishment/sustainment of improvement internal controls/SOX 404 controls.
Support efforts of providing refresher and other financial training to enable improved plant-level financial impacts acumen.
Provide back-up support to the operations specialist position in ensuring daily updates of the production results/file.
Other Financial/Accounting/Admin related duties and projects as needed.
Some periodic off-schedule work hours (primarily driven by period-end close).
Basic Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree.
3+ years of relevant work experience in Finance, Accounting, or related field.
Advanced skill level in Microsoft Excel and other ERP financial systems
Preferred Requirements
Bachelors degree in Finance, Accounting or related field.
At least 1 year experience in manufacturing and/or cost accounting.
Willingness to lead profit improvement initiatives.
Able to work/motivate independently to seek improvement opportunities.

The anticipated salary range for this position:
$77,480.00 - $112,320.00 AnnualThe actual salary will vary based on applicant’s location, education, experience, skills, and abilities. This role is bonus and/or incentive eligible. Medline will not pay less than the applicable minimum wage or salary threshold.
