We are seeking a CAD Technician to join our New Jersey / New Yorkarea office, who has the desire to work in an industry leading company with a reputation for excellence. This position involves production of preliminary and final construction drawings with some direction using AutoCAD or Civil 3D. This role will assist in project scoping by producing soil profiles, area take offs, shoring profiles, etc. This person will also be responsible for creating construction documents, as-builts, sketches, and graphics while working directly with the engineers of the Northeast Business Unit.
Responsibilities
Draft engineering and construction documents using AutoCAD programs
Prepare working construction drawings from conceptual layout to detailed finished product
Utilize standard engineering practices and techniques to adjust and correlate data
Revise drawings from markups and/or instructions
Create as-built drawings utilizing.csv files for importing data point Northing/Easting
Complete red-lined as-built drawings
Create and work with BIM models in Revit
Prepare survey files for field layout using GPS or Total Station
Coordinate and manage assignments with other team members
Complete assigned tasks on all projects in a timely manner to ensure deadlines are met
Qualifications
Associate degree or higher is preferred
Minimum 3 years of Engineering/Architecture Drafting experience
Proficiency in AutoCAD and Microsoft Suite software
Familiarity with AutoCAD LISP functions
Experience with Autocad Civil 3D is preferred but not required
Proficiency in Revit and Sketchup is preferred but not required
Ability to understand site grading and utility plans and incorporate into design drawings
Ability to prepare design sections from working site plans
Strong organizational, time management, attention to detail and analytical skills
Perform tasks and solve problems with a high degree of independence
Work with team members, both in person and remotely
Additional Information
Salary Range : $25.00-$40.00 per hour
Actual salary will be based on a variety of factors including relevant internal and external experience, knowledge, skills, scope of job, geographical location or other factors permitted by law
