Under general supervision, performs a variety of administrative and accounting tasks in support of Reliant accounting and general office functions. Assists with basic accounting duties requiring knowledge of basic accounting principles by ensuring accurate and timely processing of invoices, maintaining accurate records and supporting the Accountant as needed. Duties will also include assisting the front desk and performing administrative tasks as requested.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Receive and process accounts payable invoices and ensure accurate and timely entry and payment. Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of accounts payable transactions.
Ensure that vendors are informed of any changes to service agreements and payment options, including updates to Certificate of Insurance (COI).
Receive, record, and deposits checks when needed.
Manage monthly credit card statement process and reconcile transactions. Forward proper information to Accountant to complete proper journal entries.
Assist with processing employee expense reimbursements.
Assist in reconciling specific general ledger accounts.
Respond to internal & and external accounts payable inquiries via email and over the phone.
Collaborate with internal departments to resolve any payment or invoice issues.
Assist with reconciling vendor statements and resolving any discrepancies.
Ensure compliance with internal controls and audit requirements.
Provide back up to front desk as requested.
Stay informed about relevant accounting principles, regulations, and company policies.
Provides courteous respectful, honest, timely and professional information to all Reliant staff, program participants and visitors for all activities and services in accordance with Reliant Customer Service and Fair Housing policies.
Performs additional duties as assigned.
Our compensation package :
Compensation: $19.00 - $22.00 per hr. D.O.E

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
High School diploma or equivalent with training in general office practices. Equivalent of 2 years performing general office duties with at least 1 year performing basic accounting duties. Associates degree in accounting or business administration preferred.
