Summary

Our Warehouse Associates help plan, organize, and monitor the receiving, storage, and distribution of all items received either from suppliers, production shops, clients, or employees, ensuring a smooth and consistent operation so parts and supplies are located and distributed to the proper departments in an effective and efficient manner as needed to satisfy internal and external requirements. 

This is a safety-sensitive position.

Key Responsibilities


  • Assist, organize, and monitor the receiving, storage, and distribution of all items received either from suppliers, production shops, clients, or employees in an efficient, effective, and safe manner.

  • Maintains truck or van by completing preventive maintenance requirements and arranging for repairs when necessary.

  • Maintains a safe and clean work environment by keeping shelves, pallet area, and workstations neat; maintaining a clean shipping supply area; complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.

  • Research material handling equipment to ensure procurement recommendations of the most suitable equipment in terms of performance, safety, reliability, and cost.

  • Assist and monitor the unloading of all materials into the receiving department; ensure materials are staged for counting and inspection; ensure receiving reports accurately report material received.  Resolve discrepancies with operations regarding invoices, packing slips, and receiver reports.  Monitor the flow of paperwork from receiving to inventory control for timely data entry. 

  • Ensures materials are correctly stored to conserve space and comply with safety procedures.

  • Monitor and measure receiving and warehouse performance for accuracy of locator, receiving reporting, movement, and storage of material, and transfers to service parts.

  • Other duties as assigned.

Physical Demands


  • This job operates in a field environment. Must be in good physical condition with the ability to routinely bend, squat, climb, kneel, push, pull, lift 50lbs or more, lift in awkward positions, stand, and twist for extended periods.

  • Must be willing to travel out of market/state for up to several months at a time (90%).

  • May be required to work long and unpredictable hours.

  • Must be able to pass pre-employment screening that includes background and drug/alcohol testing and participate in the random testing program.

  • Must be willing to work in all weather conditions, including extreme heat, extreme cold, rain, ice, snow, and wind.

  • Must possess a valid driver's license and be able to drive company equipment and vehicles. A commercial driver's license (CDL) is a plus.

Minimum Qualifications

Technical Skills:


  • Must be able to work in a team environment and be a valued member of the crew and the company.

  • Must be detail-oriented.

  • Must have excellent time, organization, and office management skills.

  • Must be able to use typical warehouse equipment such as forklifts, hand jacks, hand tools, and cleaning equipment.

  • Successful completion of industrial first aid and rescue training.

Soft Skills:


  • Must be able to communicate effectively in person, by phone, and by email with team members and clients. 

  • Must be self-motivated with the desire to learn new things and project a positive attitude toward others in all work-related settings.

  • Must be able to read, comprehend, and carry out instructions.

  • Must be able to work on a team and independently as required.

Position Type and Expected Hours of Work


  • This is a full-time position.

  • Workdays and hours are typically Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., with some overtime requirements.

Travel 


  • Minimal travel requirements are expected for this position.

Education and Experience 

Required:


  • High School diploma or general education degree (GED).

Desired:


  • One to two years of Warehouse experience.

  • OSHA 10 Hour Certification, OSHA 30 Hour a plus.

  • Forklift Certification a plus
