We are seeking a full-time Senior Web/Mobile Business Analyst in our Olathe, KS location. In this role, you will be responsible for gathering, documenting and effectively communicating user requirements for medium to large size projects of average to significant complexity for products across your strategic channel. The Business Analysts also work with stakeholders to drive application/technology solutions and related business processes.
Essential Functions
Proactively explore applications, business processes, and software features to identify overlapping requirements, inefficiencies, and opportunities for improvement.
Adapt communication style to effectively engage diverse group of stakeholders, tailoring approaches to fit the stakeholder's preferences.
Deliver predictable and routine communication to project stakeholders and team members to foster transparency and trust across business.
Provide training and mentorship to fellow Business Analysts on updated processes, tools, and requirements to ensure consistency and alignment across all projects.
Analyze data and reports from multiple sources to guide product owners to make informed decisions based on user behavior and feedback.
Lead requirement discovery sessions with product owners and cross-functional teams to gather, analyze and document business requirements for mobile and web applications.
Demonstrate a natural curiosity to deeply understand challenges facing our business and customers, asking insightful questions to identify the root cause and opportunities for improvement.
Serve as the subject matter expert for supported applications and software features, providing in-depth product knowledge of business functionality, process flows, and user expectations to project stakeholders.
Serve as a functional proxy product owner and leader for the team, in times when the product owner is unavailable, to ensure requirements meet business and customer needs.
Investigate and stay informed about current industry trends, emerging technologies, and competitor products to provide innovative solutions.
Collaborate with privacy and legal team stakeholders to ensure user data is properly protected and processed according to business standards.
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor of Science Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Management Information Systems, Business or relevant field AND a minimum of 5 years relevant experience
Must have solid experience as a BA for either mobile-or web-related projects
Mastery of business analysis principles and methodologies and ability to apply and adapt them into requirements that meet business needs
Demonstrated facilitation and leadership expertise in the development of product/concept development plans
Proven track record in successfully executing projects of any scale or complexity
Advanced understanding of production and operations issues as they relate to engineering project management, including the ability to successfully identify and mitigate risks
Superior analytical skills, including a thorough understanding of how to interpret customer business needs and translate them into application and operational requirements
Demonstrated strong and effective verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills in a cross-functional setting with business partners
Ability to work independently with a high degree of competency
Agile/Scrum methodology experience and/or training
Experience with JIRA
Knowledge of human factors in UX design
Experience with product management and business development
