Job Details:

The Department of Chemistry in Mercer University’s College of Liberal Arts and Sciences invites applications for a fulltime, non-tenure-track Visiting Assistant Professor of Chemistry position to start August 1, 2025. One-year appointment or two-year appointment is negotiable, at the discretion of the Dean of the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences.

Responsibilities:

This faculty member’s responsibilities will include: presentation of undergraduate general chemistry (with laboratory) or organic chemistry (with laboratory) courses, depending on expertise, completion of auxiliary functions of teaching faculty members at Mercer University, and contribution to the faculty members’ operational jobs around the Department of Chemistry.

Qualifications:

A Ph.D. in chemistry from an accredited college or university is required. ABD candidates will be considered if the degree will be completed by August 1, 2025.
