Principle/Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Review Contract Documents, Project Plans, Requirements, and Specifications to support Entitlement in the preparation of the Change order and Claims;
- Prepare large Change Order Requests;
- Prepare Claims in Accordance with the Contract Dispute Process;
- Prepare Letters, Position Papers and other relevant documents required during the different disputes;
- Work with the Project Team to collect all the relevant documents;
- Review and Understand all Contract Documents and Assess Project Risks;
- Participate in the Strategic Assessment of Potential Claims;
- Make Recommendations to Management regarding Contractual Issues including change orders and claims submissions.

Qualifications:

REQUIRED:
Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Mechanical Engineering or Architecture
- A Minimum of 15 years Construction Experience
- A Minimum of 5 years of Construction Experience involving Large Disputes
- A Minimum of 10 years' Experience in a Senior Level Role for Major Heavy Civil Projects
- A Minimum of 10 years' Experience working for a General Contractor
- Public Works Sector Experience Required (Private Sector is a Plus)
- Previous Experience in DBR's and Arbitration hearings
- Previous Experience Working with Claims to a Major Public Agency
- Previous Experience Working in Heavy Civil Projects in excess of $100M
Preferred:
- Familiarity of all aspects of horizontal and infrastructure projects
- Recent experience with a large civil/highway/bridge project (+$250M)
- Recent experience with JV is a plus
- Advanced Computer skills with MS Office, Primavera P6
- Extensive knowledge of Construction Costs and Engineering Principles
- Well organized, flexible, detail-oriented and multi-tasked
- Prioritize Workload and consistently meet deadlines while constantly changing tasks and demands
- Effective Presentation Skills
- Ability to Work Effectively with a Cross Skill Set/Teams
