The SHARE Research Assistant performs research, data management, and administrative tasks in support of the SHARE Military Initiative. A key focus of this role is ensuring accurate, complete outcomes data capture. The SHARE Research Assistant routinely interacts with staff, leadership, and clients to complete data collection and submission, records management, data reporting, and quality assurance. Other assigned tasks related to research and outcomes data collection may include assistance with surveys, focus groups, participant recruitment and enrollment; administration of standardized measures; and preparation of research reports and dissemination of research findings. The ideal candidate is highly organized and detail oriented with excellent verbal and written communication skills. Experience using REDCap electronic data capture software is preferred. Reports to the SHARE Projects & Education Coordinator.



JOB RESPONSIBILITIES


  • Ensure accurate and timely completion of electronic data capture and reporting in accordance with operational protocol requirements.

  • Perform data entry, verification, and analysis.

  • Serve as a point of contact for data-related activities across a range of projects.

  • Generate and distribute data reports to stakeholders.

  • Identify and problem-solve data collection barriers.

  • Provide telephonic/videoconferencing, email and/or on-site technical support to clients, family members, and clinicians to provide or receive data via electronic data collection software.

  • Assist in the facilitation of departmental educations efforts related to data collection.

  • Conduct data quality checks to identify potential data entry errors and execute the data quality management plan.

  • Combine data from multiple sources to create interim and final datasets.

  • Assist project leadership team in planning, developing, and executing new data-related research or programmatic improvement activities.

  • Perform other research or outcomes projects duties as assigned.


REQUIRED MINIMUM EDUCATION

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.


REQUIRED MINIMUM CERTIFICATION

  • CITI certification and IRBNet experience beneficial.


REQUIRED MINIMUM EXPERIENCE

  • Minimum of 1-2 years of experience with electronic data collection, entry, and or management preferred.


REQUIRED MINIMUM SKILLS

  • Familiarity with data collection and management techniques.

  • Advanced organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple assignments.

  • Strong communication skills for the gathering, evaluating and conveying of information.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office required.

  • Proficiency in REDCap data entry and database management preferred.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

  • Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time but may involve walking or standing for brief periods of time or exerting up to 15 pounds of force occasionally or a negligible amount of force frequently to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects, including the human body.


WORKING CONDITIONS

  • No potential for exposure to blood and body fluids.
