Job Details:
Schedule - Monday - Friday with possible Saturday's
Hours - 2:00 pm - 10:30 pm
Starting wage range - $22.75 to $27.65 depending on skill level.
Job Description:
This position will be responsible for multiple tasks relating to trouble shooting, repair, fabrication, and preventive maintenance of all feed mill equipment.
Troubleshooting, maintaining, and repairing all equipment and company assets while maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to Tyson policies and procedures.
Provide troubleshooting and repair of any mechanical malfunction.
Prepare written documentation of actions taken to correct equipment problems.
Responds to mechanical or electrical breakdowns and handle emergency situations.
Perform preventive maintenance according to schedule.
Complete appropriate paperwork and reports
Must comply with lockout/ tagout, confined space, and all other safety programs.
Must be able to perform mechanical and basic electrical trouble shooting and repairs.
Able to perform diagnosis and repairs without supervision.
Capable of starting all equipment before production startup and shutdown without supervision
Ability to assist with other mechanics as needed.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
Must have 1 year of industrial maintenance experience and at least 6 months of continuous work history with the same employer within the last 12 months or attend technical school or training within the last 12 months.
Basic computer skills with knowledge in Word and Excel
Good interpersonal and communication skills are critical.
Must be able to understand and agree to follow Safety Rules. Knowledge of Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures. Ability to adhere to Tyson Foods' safety policies and procedures.
Work in temperature that will vary with outside ambient temperatures and humidity. It can be dusty, warm, cold and/or humid.
The positions physical requirements will include standing, walking, bending, stretching, climbing, pushing, pulling, stooping and the ability to climb ladders, lifts, scaffolds, and working at heights in excess of 150 ft. As well as lifting, pushing, or pulling up to 100 lbs.
Prior Employee Waiting Period: If you were previously employed at Tyson, there's a 90-day waiting period before you can reapply.
Number of Times Worked at Tyson: You can apply if you've worked at Tyson no more than three times.
