As a Materials Management Leader of the OMAX Warehouse Operations, Logistics, and Production Support team you are responsible for ensuring operational excellence. You will build the organizational capability, drive team engagement, maintain high standards for performance and continuously improve the value streams to meet our customer's expectations for quality, delivery, performance, and value at the lowest possible cost.


Some of the ways you will make an impact in this role:



Leadership: Provide operational leadership for the team by translating the overall company objectives into direct team activities for success, including associate selection, training, coaching, development, conflict resolution, planning, performance management/accountability, and recognition. Foster a positive climate and safe working environment to promote associate well-being and team effectiveness across the organization for improved business results. Build organizational capability by developing associates, establishing mentors, and training.



Continuous Improvement: Demonstrate expertise in the deployment of continuous improvement elements and, most importantly, help/mentor other associates to develop these skills.



Safety: Work with engineers on safety incident resolution, proactively mitigating safety concerns, and contributing to EHS policy development.



Quality: Track metrics and execute processes to identify quality issues. Implement corrective actions that improve performance metrics



Capacity and Planning: Collaborate with the planning team to provide input on production plans and looks at broader capacity needs. Enact plans to address shortages. Work with Category Managers and Master Schedulers to address potential material shortages in the production process.



Financial Acumen & Reporting: Proactively manage manufacturing operating costs and headcount needs. Understand & educate the team on the impact of related decisions on the team's overall financial performance. Analyze, develop, and report on key operational metrics to measure performance against team and customer expectations to address gaps through process improvements.



Support for Operations: Translate the overall company objectives into a production plan for the teams you support. Set an example set in promptness, attendance, and commitment to the team's success by modeling visibility and being present and available to Front Line Leaders in their quest to achieve their production targets. With your Front-Line Leaders, develop the plan to achieve production targets for the week/month and assist the Leaders in successfully executing the plan.



Qualifications:



  • 3+ years of demonstrated leadership experience (direct or indirect) and 5+ years in a manufacturing or engineering environment




Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs):

  • Excellent ability to prioritize and multi-task

  • Intermediate Project Management experience

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint)

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills

  • Intermediate presentation skills

  • Demonstrated ability to apply lean manufacturing principles

  • Data and financial analytical skills




Preferred Experience/ KSAs:



  • Associates' or Bachelors' degree

  • Green belt certification

  • ERP experience (i.e. Oracle)

$77,653.76-$129,424.65 Annual

This is the base pay range that an applicant can expect to make upon hire.






Pay within this range will vary based upon relevant experience, skills, and education among other factors.
