This position is for a Senior Accountant on our Corporate shared services accounting team and will report to the Corporate Accounting Manager. The ideal candidate will become the subject matter expert and main point of contact for all matters relating to intercompany accounting. They will be responsible for all aspects of intercompany accounting from maintaining process documentation to reconciling activity.Skills/Experience Requirements
Minimum of 5 years experience in an accounting role, preferably in a cost accountant role or manufacturing environment.
Must have working knowledge of cost accounting including the basics of inventory transactions, item costing, PPV, etc. and be comfortable researching individual transactions.
This position handles large volumes of data on a daily basis (50,000+ rows of data), must have at least Intermediate Excel skills (vlookups, pivot tables, etc.) and be comfortable with this volume.
Must be comfortable working directly with other departments, leading meetings, managing a project, etc.
Must be well organized and have excellent time management skills.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills are required.
Must be able to multi-task and prioritize workload appropriately to meet deadlines.
Experience using JD Edwards, MXP and Oracle is helpful but not required.

Bachelor's degree in Accounting or similar field required.
CPA or Master's degree preferred.

The majority of activity relates to the sale of inventory, so to be successful in this role it is crucial for a candidate to have a deep understanding of inventory transactions and the corresponding activity such as PPV.
Responsibilities for this role include, but are not limited to, the following:
Be responsible for all aspects of intercompany accounting, such as
Maintaining, or developing, process flow documentation for all transaction types
Maintaining, or developing, standard operating procedures (SOP's) and distributing to appropriate parties
The timely completion of monthly reconciliations and related journal entries
Coordinating and training with division finance staff on intercompany SOP's
Developing and maintaining reconciliations for new transactions as locations undergo ERP conversion
Research root cause of reconciling issues and drive corrective action with appropriate parties
Assist and mentor junior staff working on intercompany processes and reconciliations
Serve as point of contact for matters relating to intercompany accounting
Preparation of internal and external audit schedules
Review current procedures for process improvement and enact positive process changes
