Overview

As a geographical information systems (GIS) analyst, you'll analyze geographic data and create visual representations of spatial information. You'll support various environmental and transportation infrastructure projects providing environmental assessment information to clients. The geographical information systems analyst reports to the project manager.

Responsibilities

• Collect, compile, and analyze geographic data from various sources.
• Create maps, charts, and reports using high-tech mapping software.
• Perform spatial analysis to identify patterns, trends, and relationships in data.
• Contribute to the planning phase of projects.

Qualifications

• Associate of Science in Engineering Technology or Bachelor of Science in Geology, Geography, or a realted field.
• Proficiency in ArcGIS software.
