Join the Product Development leadership team in Bend, Oregon as a Group Lead, Multiparticulates Engineering at Lonza Pharma & Biotech. Lead a team to craft and advance drug products for customers and patients.

Key Responsibilities:


  • Supervise daily activity of direct reports toward project deliverables

  • Provide appropriate systems, SOGs, and mentorship

  • Ensure safe work environment, processes, and standards

  • Ensure data quality and integrity

  • Adhere to development quality systems and standards

  • Schedule work to meet project expectations across multiple projects

  • Accountable for the quality of project completion

  • Identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities on specific equipment, operations, and/or systems

  • Train, develop, and retain personnel

  • Manage personnel within company systems

  • Provide ongoing feedback and mentorship to direct reports

  • Assist and support GMP manufacturing by participating in activities, including, but not limited to: development study design and execution, training, clinical tech transfer, investigation support, product commercialization and ongoing product support, equipment design and qualification, and change control

Key Requirements:


  • Bachelor’s Degree, at minimum, in chemistry, chemical engineering, pharmaceutical science or other related engineer/scientific field

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in drug development or related field, including relevant graduate school experience

  • Strong leadership, writing, and communication/presentation skills are required

  • Must be independent, self-motivated, organized, able to multi-task, and skilled in communication, facilitation, and collaboration
