Job Summary
We are seeking a Security Assistant Junior - 5395 to join our team to help contribute to our success and help us solve problems with innovation through intelligence.
This position is located at Naval Air Station Patuxent River, MD. The role requires active engagement with workforce and prime contractor leadership at this site, to include responsiveness to the contract Operations Manager.
This Security Assistant Junior Level, under close supervision, supports SCI and SAP secure facility access administration.

Required Experience:
Duties include, but not limited to:
Provide daily support to the appointed Special Security Representative (SSR) or Government SAP Security Officer (GSSO) to fully implement all applicable enhanced security policies and procedures.
Perform Visitor Control duties by greeting and documenting all visitors according to facility security procedures, including, but not limited to, customers, tour groups, base public works, inspectors, and maintainers. The Contractor shall monitor and control access to facility(ies) and restricted areas under their responsibility by checking personnel passes, CACs and validating security clearances utilizing DISS or other security database systems, visit requests, and maintain facility visitor logs.
Prepare and process visit request documentation packages.
Perform visitor escort duties for assigned facilities and events.
Support facility security management duties, including but not limited to, access control management, facility security inspections and assessments, alarm response, including implement receipt and dispatch as applicable.
Required Skills (Knowledge, Skills, Abilities)
Physical Security for Collateral, SAP, and SCI programs.
Must have solid communication skills, written and verbal.
Must have experience applying relevant ICDs, DOD Manuals/Instructions/Directives, Executive Orders, NIST and other guiding policy documents.

Physical Requirements
Work may involve sitting or standing for extended periods of time and typing and reading from a computer screen. The candidate must have enough mobility, including bending, reaching, and kneeling, to complete daily duties in a prompt and efficient manner and that may include lifting to thirty pounds, as necessary.
