PLANT ENGINEERING MANAGER
Plastic Omnium Lighting Systems, Inc., Hendersonville, TN. Supervise &lead Engrg Dept incl. Maintenance, Facilities, Process, &Testing to assure Hendersonville Plant machines, eqpt, &processes are operational, &robust. Supervise &mentor technical team of 10 with 3 Test/Process Engineers &7 Technicians to test &support current &launch new machines &eqpt for 11 Hendersonville Plant Surface Mount Technology (SMT) lines &1 Assy Line,, to produce psgr vehicle head/rear/grille lamp syss, turn lights, LED Drive Module, CHMSL, &license plate lights, incl. Printed Circuit Board Assemblies, LEDs, press fit pins cmpts, &conformal coatings for OEM customers. Perform Design for Manufacturing (DFM) in Hendersonville Plant for 50+ checkpoints in the Printed Circuit Board (PCB) design to assure PCB manufacturability, incl. tombstone control (chip condition &soldering failure detection); lead thermal balance; SMT fiducial location; cmpt modification &footprint alignment according to part specs; assurance of copper tracks widths &connection between chip leads; &to avoid issues with eqpt clamping sys. Bachelor, Industrial, Electrical, Mechatronics, Automot Syss Engrg, or related. 24 mos exp as Engr or related, performing DFM in plant for checkpoints in PCB design to assure PCB manufacturability, incl. chip condition &soldering failure detection; lead thermal balance; &SMT fiducial location, or related.
