JobSummary:

The Lead PipingDesigner will be responsible for leading a drafting team whose responsibilitywill be preparing layouts and designs of complex offshore/onshore piping systemsutilizing Company 2D and 3D modeling software. They may occasionally be calledupon to function as a Project Lead, Drafting Checker and or Coordinator onProject(s).

JobDuties and Responsibilities:

• Prepare man-hourestimates, budgets and schedules for their respective discipline;

• Manage project work flowto ensure project completion and adherence to project schedules;

• Lead, supervise andmentor the drafters assigned to their project;

• Coordinate with clientand engineering on determining and addressing project priorities;

• Principal designersin resolving piping design issues;

• Prepare layouts and overall project executionplans for assigned projects from Scope of Work (SOW) and/or verbal instructionswith little or no guidance;

• Ensure that alldrawings adhere to client, and/or company drafting standards;

• Ensure that alldrawings adhere to client, company and/or industry design standards;

• Design and draftclean effect piping systems that adhere to safety and maintenancespecifications;

• May be asked to periodicalserve as Piping Checker;

• QA/QC project designlead;

• Responsible for keeping the Project Engineer andProject Manager updated on any and all concerns relating to their respectiveassignments;

• Track and reportprogress for assigned project drawings;

• Create weightestimates;

• Create materialestimates;

• Perform site and vendor visits as required;

• Other various projectresponsibilities as required.

Qualifications(Knowledge, Skills and Abilities):

• Requires aminimum of fifteen (15) years' experience of piping layout and designexperience with engineering projects in the offshore oil and gas industry;

• Up to five(5) years' experience in onshore oil & gas or related industry may beconsidered toward the total fifteen (15) years of required experience;

• Requires pastexperience in a lead role supervising drafters and designers;

• Requiresknowledge and the ability to work with MS Office Suite of products (Excel, Word,Outlook, PowerPoint, and Access);

• Must beproficient in AutoCAD;

• Must have advancedknowledge of piping 2D and 3D software. (Autodesk Plant 3, Navisworks and E3D);

• Must haveadvanced working knowledge of P&ID's, General Arrangements, Piping PlansSections and Details, Pipe Supports and Isometrics;

• Must have theability to layout process equipment with nozzle locations and interconnecting piping;

• Must havefield experience in gathering information for retrofit purposes;

• Must have strongworking knowledge of ASME, ANSI, API RP 14C, API RP 14E, API Spec 6A, NFPA andOSHA standards;

• Must haveworking knowledge with AWS Welding Symbols and AISC Manual.

WorkingConditions:

• Work is primarily conducted in an officeenvironment (Private or Semi-Private office) but may require occasional travelto off-site work locations;

• Field duties may require outdoor work in aplant or offshore platform atmosphere;

• Interaction with other team members, as wellas supervisors and client personnel;

• Working offshore or in plant and/or shop areasaround production machinery with extreme noise levels;

• Must be able to wear safety equipment asrequired by the safety department for personal protection;

• May be at more than one job site in a day andmust be able to tolerate climate changes;

• May be required to travel out of town on aperiodic basis.
